Vickie started braille lessons through VBTI (Volunteer Braillists and Tapists) while working as an Educational Assistant at Oregon High School in 1999. She earned her Certificate for Literary Braille in March 2002. She was the Braille Coordinator for BLTS (Braille Library and Transcribing Services) in Madison in 2001 and also worked in the Verona and Oregon school districts before joining the Braille team at WCBVI in the fall of 2002. She transcribes books and materials for students in public schools across the state and for staff at WCBVI. Vickie is married and has three daughters. She enjoys traveling with her husband to Florida and visiting their daughter in North Carolina.
