2019 Adult Summer Program

The WCBVI Adult Summer Program is a one-week program designed to build life skills and introduce exciting new activities at home, at work and in the community. The 2019 program will be held August 4-9 on the WCBVI campus in Janesville.

Participants must pass a background check and be independent in self-care and in managing their own medication. Space is limited with priority given to first time attendees.

Target Audience

Wisconsin adults who are blind or visually impaired.

Cost

Free, although participants are encouraged to bring a small amount of spending money.

Housing

Overnight accommodations and meals will be provided.

Transportation

Participants are responsible for transportation to and from WCBVI.

Classes

This year’s offerings will include technology, orientation and mobility, health and fitness, home management, cooking, braille and print communications, and self-advocacy.

Registration

Online registration for 2019 is open through June 1st. Please fill out the online interest form. After receiving the Interest Form, those who are selected will receive a registration packet. Others who are not initially selected will be included on a wait list.
